Better buses for Shirley

George Percival, Liberal Democrat candidate for Shirley, has been campaigning for improvements to local bus services for three years. He recently discovered that the Council is failing to deliver its promises for a new service on HIll Lane.

“The promises made by Labour in May have not only been broken but completely disregarded. They piggybacked off my hard work campaigning for a better Hill Lane bus service, only to delay it until 2025. This is a complete failure of leadership. Speak to any Shirley resident who depends on these services, and they’ll tell you how vital they are for daily life. The Council needs to act immediately to deliver the Hill Lane service they promised."
