Invest in our social housing

Social housing in Southampton is falling apart from lack of proper maintenance, leaving tenants with homes unfit for habitation by modern standards. Meanwhile, slow and extensive maintenance of vacant properties is keeping people on the social housing register from much needed homes. We call on the Southampton City Council to invest in the proper and timely maintenance of its housing stock, and to speed up repairs of vacant properties to bring them back into use as soon as possible.
