Petition: Make the roads around Swaythling Primary School 20mph

The roads around Swaythling Primary School (Mayfield Rd, Broadlands Rd, Harrison Rd, Harefield Rd and Woodcote Rd) have a strong local community but are challenged by speeding traffic. The long, straight road leads to people driving too fast, and the junctions with Woodcote Rd can be dangerous.

Swaythling Primary School at the top of Mayfield Rd would benefit from having a 'school street' road closure during school drop off and pick up, like other schools across Southampton including Bassett Green. This would also help to reduce speeds on Mayfield Rd.

Local families deserve safe streets. Sign our petition calling for a school street outside Swaythling Primary School and 20mph speed limits on Mayfield Road, Broadlands Rd, Harrison Rd, Harefield Rd and Woodcote Rd.
