Southampton Liberal Democrats - working for you

"At a stroke you have snubbed our two universities, our colleges, and our major employers, not to mention the schools themselves. By appointing an out-of-town 'we are friends with important people in London' organisation to run our two new secondary schools the Tories have said they trust these people more than their fellow citizens and partner organisations in the city," commented Bassett Councillor Liz Mizon on the school decision.

And she continued :-

"What a vote of confidence in Southampton!"

"What a dire warning for our city's future in their hands!"

"What else will they risk to promote their political ideology?"

"The education of Southampton's children is the business of Southampton people. It is we that should have the control and the influence."
